Chris Doukas

Owner & Instructor

Chris began shooting when he was in the Boy Scouts and all through his teen years. After high school he enlisted with the US Marine Corps in 2003 and served until 2008 with three combat tours in Iraq.

Chris founded Secure Haven Training because of his desire to teach and train the average citizen firearms safety, preparedness, self-protection and defense. As a veteran, he wanted to find a way to give back to the community and use what he was taught in the marines to give civilians the skills they need to protect themselves and their families. His goal is to help other veterans like himself, find purpose and a way to use their skills in their communities.

Chris is a combat veteran, and a certified NRA Instructor.

Mike Wiltse

Mike started shooting when he was a kid with black powder revolvers and muzzle loaders. In college he started competing in the cowboy action shooting and competed for 10 years, earning top ranks and several Clean Match Awards for shooting entire matches without a miss.

When Mike and his wife moved to Lebanon, Oregon, he joined his church’s security team. He could always shoot, but once he joined the security team, he wanted to learn about defensive marksmanship and tactics. He trained with Benton County and Linn County Sheriff’s in Oregon and with other firearms experts. Mike enjoys teaching people about their firearms and helping them further their skills and knowledge in their firearms training.

Mike is a skilled competitor and a NRA certified RSO.

Ricky Nutter

Ricky started his journey with firearms at the young age of 7 years old, learning from his grandfather who taught him to shoot an old German luger pistol. That progressed into a lever action 30-30 and a m-2 carbine when rounds could be bought.

When Ricky was in fourth grade the tragic event of September 11th paved the way for his service in the armed forces upon completion of high school. From then on, he has maintained a steady respect and admiration for an invention that has been praised and denounced. A tool that has served both hero and villain but carries with it a moral responsibility. To understand the gun, it's better to understand history. Ricky enjoys teaching young people the importance of this tool, and the skills to safely use it. Without it, we would not be in the greatest country ever started.

Ricky is a combat veteran and a NRA certified RSO.

Concrete Wall

Jesse Wynn

Jesse grew up shooting with his dad and grandad, and was always competing with his brothers for better marksmanship. Jesse loved hunting, and as a young man he began searching for what he would do to make his mark on this world. He finally found the Marine Corps. He spent much of his service on a FAST Team (Anti-terrorism Security Team), and in his years of service, he gained innumerable experiences, training and certifications. Jesse was certified as Combat Marksmanship Coach and spent three years training marines in the field and on the range. Jesse enjoys continuing his education and skill on the range and using his experience to help teach others do the same.

Jesse is a veteran, helicopter pilot and NRA certified RSO.
